We are excited to offer our Pre-Convention Workshops on Sunday, October 6, and daily Conventions session on Monday and Tuesday, October 7 & 8. The SHAPE Colorado Board has worked hard to create a convention line-up that is sure to educate, engage and excite you so you can better serve our profession and students.

Discover innovative strategies for integrating Ultimate Frisbee into high school physical education. Learn engaging drills, games, rules, equipment, and teaching techniques that promote teamwork, fitness, and sportsmanship. This session empowers educators to enhance their PE curriculum with an inclusive environment that fosters students’ lifelong skills and healthy competition.

Session Description:

1. Participants will be able to acquire a comprehensive understanding of the rules, gameplay dynamics, and strategic elements of Ultimate Frisbee, enabling them to confidently teach the sport in high school PE classes.
2. Participants will be able to acquire knowledge of various types of Ultimate Frisbee games, including traditional gameplay, mini-games, and modified versions suitable for different skill levels and class sizes.
3. Participants will be able to acquire practical strategies for modifying equipment and adapting game rules to accommodate students with diverse learning needs and abilities, ensuring inclusivity and participation in PE classes.
